# Senso-ji

The oldest temple in Tokyo stands at the end of a shopping street where shops make their sweets in the window. A great lantern hangs in Kaminarimon, the outer gate, with a dragon carved into its underside. At the inner gate hang straw sandals so large that demons are said to take fright and leave. In front of the main hall, people pull the smoke from an incense burner over themselves for health.
