# Kids Plaza Osaka

The first museum in Japan built for children opened in 1997 and still draws over 400,000 visitors a year. The ground floor starts with Ball Circus, where a ball rolls along rails and rides a Ferris wheel. Above it are floors for making things, for play, and for trying out science and culture. The play floor centers on Kids' Town, a small city of everyday life. About 250 volunteer interpreters introduce the exhibits, and everything is indoors, so the weather does not decide the day.
