The market opened here in 1998 as an anchor for the shopping street. Seven blocks, named things like Castle-Town Plaza and Ryoma Street, hold fishmongers, butchers, clothing shops and more than sixty stalls. Because most food shops have no seating, people carry their food to whichever table is free.
