# Kenrokuen Garden

Finding the twenty-eight named spots on the official map gives a child a job, so the whole loop becomes a hunt. One of them, the Gankobashi bridge, has been shut to walkers since 1969, which makes it a find rather than a crossing. Higher up, the viewing platform looks over Kanazawa to the mountains on the Toyama border. Twelve teahouses stand along the way, so the hunt has places to stop. Uchihashi-tei serves soba and ice monaka, ice cream in a crisp wafer.
