Across the zoo, many exhibits sit at eye level, so toddlers see without being lifted. Beyond the savanna, polar bears are a toddler favorite: one 2-year-old loved watching them swim most of all. In the Friendship Garden, a walk-through area, sheep and goats come close. Come at opening, when animals are out for breakfast and liveliest.
