# Kifune Shrine

Water fortune slips are the part children can join: float one on the spring water and writing appears in about a minute. A toddler can get absorbed in the spring beside them. A child of about 4 to 5 is thrilled dipping hands in cold water at a riverside dining platform (booked meals, May to Sept.). Watch children closely there. The way up is about 100 m of lantern-lined stone steps, so carry a toddler, not a stroller. It all centers on water: a slip, a spring, a river.
