# Narai-juku

That preserved street felt fresh to children, like stepping back in time. Two brothers aged 7 and 11 walked it end to end in the August holidays, map in hand, and enjoyed it. Having watched a video beforehand, they kept spotting things they had seen in it. Along the way they also found the street's water stations, fed by mountain water, cold and pleasant to touch. Nakamura Residence, an early-1800s merchant's house with a garden, is open to visitors too. So the fun here is in walking and spotting.
