In 2016 the walk to the eight Okunomiya shrines (the inner shrines) had a stamp rally, and children were excited by it. Miya Zoo, a small animal area at the shrine's back, has goats; one visitor fed them grass and they ate it. A wide lawn also gives children room to play.
