# Shinjuku Golden Gai

Those narrow alleys are quiet by day, because almost no bars are open. You will see rows of tiny two- and three-story wooden buildings along alleys named G1 Street, G2 Street and so on. The district also holds a children's cafeteria on the first Sunday of each month, 15:00 to 18:00, free for children and 300 yen for adults. After dark it is mostly a place for adults to drink, so a visit with kids is a daytime walk. The cafeteria notice is undated, so check first.
