# Oirase Gorge

That path, with almost no slope, runs nearly level with the stream, so the water stays close. At Ishigedo, a rest stop midway along it, staff at a moss corner lent a loupe one late October. In late July, trees to climb, what looked like frog eggs, and easy-to-catch dragonflies made the walk fun for a third grader and a kindergartner. Even a 20-minute round trip from Ishigedo to Sanran no Nagare, a stretch of the stream, makes a light outing. Small finds, not one big attraction, fill the time.
