PRIVACY POLICY
Last updated: [DATE]
Japanese and Chinese reference translations are in preparation. The English text is the authoritative version and prevails.
This policy explains how [OPERATOR] ("we", "us") handles information in connection with [SITE NAME] (the "Service").
1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
- Email address, when you join the waitlist or register.
- Trip data you enter: saved spots, itineraries, notes, and family settings (such as a child's birth month and needs like stroller use). We do not ask for and do not intend to collect children's names or photos.
- Usage data: pages viewed, actions taken, and technical data such as browser type and approximate region, collected as described in Section 3.
- Payment information for paid services is collected and held by our payment processor, Stripe. We do not store your card details.
2. HOW WE USE INFORMATION
We use information to provide and operate the Service (including showing family-fit results based on the settings you enter), to improve the Service through aggregated analysis, to communicate with you, to prevent abuse, to comply with law, and to optimize the content and advertising we show.
3. COOKIES AND ANALYTICS
- Our first-party analytics runs without cookies and does not identify individuals.
- We also use Google Analytics 4. Where the law of your region requires consent for cookies or similar technologies, we show a consent banner and do not set such cookies without your consent.
- Sharing links and assignment of experiment variants may use functional storage necessary to operate the Service.
4. SHARING; PROCESSORS
We do not sell your personal information and do not provide it to third parties, except: (a) to service providers that process it on our behalf — currently Cloudflare (hosting), Stripe (payments), Resend (email), and Google (analytics); (b) where required by law, court order, or governmental authority; or (c) with your direction or consent (for example, when you share an itinerary link).
5. CHILDREN
The Service is intended for use by parents and guardians. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Family settings are entered by the guardian and are limited to information such as a child's birth month and needs.
6. SHARED ITINERARIES
When you share an itinerary link, the shared view does not display your family settings. Anyone with the link can view the shared itinerary; see Terms Section 3 about handling secret URLs.
7. RETENTION AND DELETION
If you delete your account, we delete your account data, itineraries, and family settings, except that anonymized or aggregated data, and factual information already incorporated into our public database, may be retained (see Terms Section 4.6). You can request deletion at [SITE URL]/contact/.
8. YOUR RIGHTS
Depending on your region, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, or to object to certain processing. You can exercise these rights via [SITE URL]/contact/. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
9. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this policy. Material changes will be announced on the Service and, for registered users, by email, with the effective date.
