# Hozenji Yokocho

Pouring water is the part a child joins in. A ladle sits where you pray and a bucket waits below the Mizukake Fudo, so even a toddler can take a turn. The statue stands well back, so landing water takes a real swing. When the bucket runs dry, a hand pump draws more for the next family. Cats fill the wait: the grounds are full of them, and the sweet shop beside the statue keeps two. Eighty meters and one small ritual, with most people done inside an hour.
