# Koenji

That roofed arcade, the Pal shopping street, is the easy start. It starts about 30 seconds from the south exit gate, so you stay dry in rain; bicycles may not be ridden inside. Down the slope from the south-exit shopping street, Koenji Chuo Park has a big play structure with slides that kids love. But when it rains, the free Children and Family Plaza offers big indoor slides and a baby-only room for 0-year-olds. So a covered street, a playground and an indoor play room make an easy outing.
