Yagiyama Zoological Park

A city zoo with polar bears and African elephants, right outside a subway exit.

A hands-on animal session runs every day, and the shop on Monkey Hill sells monkey feed.

Note (Aug 2026): lion viewing is suspended, Humboldt penguin viewing is cancelled, and redevelopment work is changing which animals are on show.
