Mother Farm sits on a hillside in Futtsu, in Chiba Prefecture.
The grounds hold an amusement park called Wakuwaku Land alongside the farm itself: dairy cows, horse paddocks, fruit orchards, and a petting paddock where the animals wander loose among the visitors.
Getting around is part of the day here: a tractor train tours the pastures, and a shuttle bus loops between the areas.
Ten multipurpose restrooms are spread across the site, each with a changing table and a baby seat, and the guide map comes in five languages, English among them.
There is also a combination ticket with Kamogawa Sea World, and the two halves do not have to be used on the same day, so the farm can be one day and Kamogawa Sea World another.

At the piglet stadium, children picked by lot chase a piglet down the track: lottery tickets go out there 15 minutes before each race, and the draw takes kids from age 3 through sixth grade who can do the chasing on their own.
Mother Farm spreads over a hillside, and the paths are almost all paved, but there are slopes and the odd step, so count on a day of walking.
Whichever gate you come in through, a baby room is close by, with a crib, a nursing room, and a microwave, and the information desks sell diapers and wipes, though not many.
The petting farm animals go back to their barns half an hour before closing, so see them early and leave the rides for the end of the day; once they are in, you can still visit them, but only inside the barns.

- Ages 0-1In the Fureai Bokujo petting paddock the animals roam free, and you can take a stroller or a wheelchair straight in. Nearly all the paths through the grounds are paved. On rainy days the animals are inside the barns, and the barns are open for you to walk into. Thirty minutes before closing the animals head back to the barns, and you can go on watching them in there.There are two baby rooms, beside the Makiba information centre and beside the Yamanoue information centre, so one sits near whichever gate you enter by (baby bed, nursing room, sink, microwave; hot water from an electric pot on the Makiba side and a water heater on the Yamanoue side). Both counters sell children's diapers and wipes while stocks last. Strollers can be rented, twenty of the reclining A type at 1,000 yen a day, but there are only so many and the farm asks you to bring your own if you can; rental stops on 29 April and 2-5 May. And because an animal bumping into a stroller can tip it over, they ask you not to step away from yours.
- Ages 2-3The piglet race takes entrants from three years old: the field is 3 up to sixth grade, open to any child who can chase a piglet on their own. Lottery tickets are handed out at the Kobuta Stadium from 15 minutes before each race. Usa-Moru Touch, the rabbit and guinea pig session, needs no booking and costs nothing.The piglet race does not take siblings or parent-and-child pairs; the child runs alone. Craft workshops require one adult per child from preschool through elementary school, and payment is cash only. The rental strollers are for children from one month to 48 months (up to 20 kg), so a three-year-old can still ride. Changing seats for diapers are in the ten multipurpose restrooms around the grounds and in the women's restrooms. One family with a 3-year-old and a 1-year-old stayed about six hours, from just after 11:00 to just before 17:00.
- Ages 4-6Hand-milking a dairy cow needs no booking and costs nothing, and they do the squeezing themselves. The Mother Farm Tour DX rides a tractor train around the farm: 1,000 yen for children (4 through elementary school), 2,000 yen for adults (junior high and up). A ride-all-day pass for the Wakuwaku Land funfair is 2,800 yen, the same for adults and children.Admission is 900 yen for children (4 through sixth grade) and 1,800 for adults (junior high and up), and the 1,000 yen parking fee is cash only. For the Mother Farm Tour DX you buy the ticket, then book a departure time at the Farm Station; after that the time cannot be changed or cancelled. Strollers cannot go on the tour, so take your valuables with you and leave it in the stroller area beside the Farm Station. There is no restroom out on the tour route. Some Wakuwaku Land rides have age or height conditions, and some need a paid adult alongside, so check before buying the day pass.

Several things inside cost extra: the Mother Farm Tour DX is ¥2,000 adult and ¥1,000 child, and an unlimited-rides pass for the Wakuwaku Land funfair is ¥2,800 for anyone — though seven rides, including the Farm Zip and the Farm Bungee, are not covered by it, and two more are capped. Set tickets combining admission with the tour or the rides pass are sold at both gates. A two-year passport is ¥4,800 adult, ¥2,400 child. A dog costs ¥700; assistance dogs are free.source
- Hours：From February to November it opens 9:00-17:00 on weekends and on public holidays, 9:30-16:30 on weekdays. A stroller can be wheeled straight into the Fureai paddock, where the animals are not penned and you walk among them. On wet days they move into the barns, and the barns are open to walk through. They return there before closing, so a late arrival still finds them. Hand-milking a cow and touching rabbits and guinea pigs run at set times. Up the hill sit a funfair with a Ferris wheel and a zip line, and orchards for fruit picking.
