- Fee：Everyone up to and including junior high school gets in free. Adults from 15 pay 460 yen, over-65s 200 yen; a two-day adult ticket is 500 yen and an annual pass 4,600 yen, valid at national government parks across Japan. A disability certificate admits the holder and one companion free. Parking is free for cars and motorbikes until 31 March 2027 under the New West Gate opening campaign - normally 310 yen for a car, 100 yen for a motorbike, 1,050 yen for a large vehicle, and always free for bicycles. Craft sessions cost extra: 100 yen for fire-starting (one tool set for up to four people), 100 yen per person for a clay whistle, 250 or 300 yen for a magatama bead. Those craft prices changed on 1 April 2025.■■■

The park closes only three days a year: 31 December, the third Monday of January and the day after it. Inside Snow Peak Grounds Yoshinogari the shops keep their own hours - Starbucks 7:30-21:00, Mitsuse Chicken 11:00-18:00 on weekdays and 11:00-21:00 at weekends, Snow Peak 9:00-18:00 on weekdays and 9:00-19:00 at weekends. The outdoor cooking area takes bookings at the West Gate until 14:00.■

The park preserves the Yoshinogari ruins and is laid out in four zones. Reconstructed pit dwellings and other buildings can be walked through, and craft sessions cover magatama beads, clay whistles and fire-starting. Four gates change the day: the East for the ruins, the West for the lawn and playground. A shuttle bus links them every twenty minutes. Every toilet has a baby bed and handrails, there are five nursing rooms, and a nurse is on duty.
