The three rental points share one floor — the first floor of the international passenger terminal, in the area before the security checkpoint.
Two are staffed counters, Global WiFi and Telecom Square, where you can rent a router and buy a SIM at the same window; the third is a vending machine stocked with prepaid SIMs from several companies.
The airport neither lends nor sells computers, so do not count on borrowing a laptop here.
Its own pages carry the same information in English: the shop appears there as Global WiFi Fukuoka Airport Store, and the area to look for is marked Pre-Security Area.
The free wireless carries two SSIDs, AirportFreeWiFi-2.4G and AirportFreeWiFi-5.0G, and asks for no password — which also means it encrypts nothing, so anything where you type in a card number is better sent through a router or SIM from one of the counters.

Both staffed counters do the whole job in one stop: rent a Wi-Fi router and buy a SIM card at the same window.
The SIM vending machine takes cash, credit cards, and electronic money, so you do not need yen in your pocket, and if something on it stumps you there is a staff member nearby to ask.
All three sit before the security checkpoint, and the two counters close at 9 and 9:30 p.m., so collect or buy before you go through — past the checkpoint there is nothing left to pick up.
