The 1 km observation corridor that loops the park is flat and roofed, so you can push the stroller the whole way around. At the center, the Flower Dome is a glass greenhouse 50 meters across and 21 meters high, kept at about 20 degrees even in winter, where you can rest among more than 500 orchids and foliage plants. In the Mist Garden a fountain of mist rises from the middle. The nursing room is in the West Building at the entrance gate, the same building as the information center, the waiting room and the first-aid room. Nine strollers are lent free at the entrance gate, but they are meant for children from about six months, when the neck is steady, to about two years; they cannot be reserved and in busy seasons every one can be out, so bringing your own is the sure thing. Wading in the ponds is not allowed.
The locomotive object in the first-floor entrance makes sound and moves, and can be watched from your arms. The mechanical clock plays for four and a half minutes every hour from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., with Daikoku-sama, the white rabbit, Kintaro and Issun-boshi coming out. The whole museum is indoors, so rain, snow, heat and cold all stay outside. The nursing room is on the first floor. There is a barrier-free ramp at the main entrance and an elevator inside. Eight strollers and five wheelchairs are lent free. On the second floor there is a barrier-free restroom with an ostomate fitting. Admission is free for high school age and under. Exterior repair work runs from 22 July 2026 to early May 2027.
The Rail Train Sand, styled after the Pokemon Sandshrew and Alolan Sandshrew, has no minimum age and is free for children two and under. It runs a 270-meter track at about 5 km/h, taking about five minutes for a lap. The management building has a multipurpose space with play equipment for toddlers, and inside Sozokan there is a reading corner and toys for small children where you can also rest. The nursing room is in the management building, which is also where strollers and wheelchairs are lent free; you ask a staff member. There are no trash bins in the park, so everything goes home with you. At the summer fountain plaza, disposable diapers are not allowed in the water, and swim diapers are sold at the shop. The whole park is non-smoking, and parking is free for 500 cars.
