Hokkaido's airport puts an entertainment floor inside the domestic terminal, built around Doraemon, the cartoon cat Japanese children grow up with. A play zone, chocolate factory displays and observation decks share it. It is worth arriving 30 to 60 minutes early for, rather than waiting at the gate. Baby care rooms sit on nearly every floor, most with a baby bed. The rapid train from the terminal reaches Sapporo Station in about 37 minutes.
