The village recreates an Edo townscape, with theatres, hands-on halls and a barrier gate at the entrance. At the Henshin-dokoro, costumes are fitted by height rather than age — ninja, princess, Shinsengumi, ronin. Three job experiences are offered: ninja training, child samurai for ages five to twelve, and a detective hunt. When it rains they move indoors. A character called Nyanmage wanders the streets on a whim, so an encounter is down to luck. A shogun theatre opened for the fortieth anniversary in 2026.

Stroller friendlyYesStrollers are lent for ¥200 a day at the office by the ticket window (the Honmaru in front of the entrance barrier gate) — an A-type with a reclining back, for children up to 4 years (48 months) and 18kg. The paved and bypass paths let you get round the whole village, though some hands-on halls cannot be entered on wheelsWeb-checkedchecked Aug ’26edowonderland.net
Nursing spaceYesA nursing room in the middle of the village, used for both feeding and nappy changes. Men are not admitted. Hot water for formula: one official page names Echigoya or the Honmaru office by the entrance, another names Shinanoya — ask at whichever you reach firstWeb-checkedchecked Aug ’26edowonderland.net
Diaper changing tableYesChanging tables are provided; baby beds for nappy changes are fitted in some of the village toilets, and the nursing room can be used for changes too. Nappies are sold at Echigoya if you run out. Locations are on the village mapWeb-checkedchecked Aug ’26edowonderland.net
Family restroomYes (3)Three barrier-free toilets in the village, for wheelchair users and anyone who needs more space. They adjoin three of the village's toilet blocks; locations are on the village mapWeb-checkedchecked Aug ’26edowonderland.net
Outside food allowedNoBringing food in is asked against. The exception is people on a restricted diet for a food allergy or similar, who may bring their own meal into a dining hall — tell the staff there; companions are asked to order from the menu. Ingredient lists for the dining halls are published on the official siteWeb-checkedchecked Aug ’26edowonderland.net
