- Fee：The udon-making class is ¥1,760 (tax included) per person, with bookings taken from two people up; one person alone pays ¥1,980 and may be turned away depending on availability. Groups of 2 to 14 pay ¥1,760 each and groups of 15 or more ¥1,650. If the class runs long because you are doing it with small children, there is no extra charge. Side dishes in the dining room: rice ball ¥330, chirashi sushi ¥330, inari sushi ¥330, tempura ¥440.■■
- Hours：Classes run 9:00-15:00. That is the school's own opening time, and it is the one that matters - arrive outside it and there is no class. Shop hours are listed separately and in two versions: 8:30-17:30 for Building A with 9:00-17:00 for Building B, and 8:30-18:00 open all year round. Which days a class actually runs is set by the calendar on the site.■■

Sanuki udon uses only flour and salt water. The class is laid out as twelve steps, among them mixing, kneading, treading, rolling and cutting three-to-four-millimeter strips. The dough is bagged and trodden to music, and the from-scratch stages are done as a group. A teacher explains that udon ferments, so temperature and salt change with the season. At the end comes a scroll-shaped diploma with a rolling pin attached. You then choose: boil the udon in a shared pot, or take it home sealed with broth.
