They can join the feeding at the children's zoo: from 9:30 on weekdays (10:00 in winter), and twice on weekends and holidays, at 9:30 and 13:30, each round taking the first 20 people. From December to March, Sundays 14:00-14:30, rabbits come out for a touching session at the arbor inside the children's zoo; from December to April, Saturdays and holidays at 14:00, "Try feeding the alpaca" runs at the petting area. From May to October, Sundays 14:00-14:15, an armadillo takes a walk near the children's zoo.Each feeding round takes the first 20 people, so arrive in time for the start. A stroller rents for 200 yen. The daily events can be cancelled or changed without notice depending on the animals' condition and the weather, and the zoo treats its published times as a guide; alpaca feeding is cancelled in rain. A family with a 2-year-old stayed two hours (Golden Week 2025). The zoo is open 9:30-16:30 with tickets sold until 16:00; from December 1 to the end of February it is 10:00-16:00 with tickets until 15:30.
At the Petting Area by the zoo entrance they can touch goats and other animals (10:00-15:00, closed 11:30-13:30, cancelled in rain). The Alps Dream Coaster's sled seats two, so a preschooler rides down the 630-meter hillside course together with a parent. The Picnic Ground looks out over the Northern Alps and the Azumino plain, and a dinosaur hides in one corner of it.At the Petting Area a guardian must stay with a preschool child, and food for the animals may not be brought in from outside. A single Dream Coaster ticket is 410 yen for adults and 200 yen for children, and on busy days ticket sales can end earlier than closing time. Pets cannot enter the Forest of Birds and Small Animals, although they are allowed in the rest of the park on a lead. Cycling inside the park is prohibited, except that a child may practice with a guardian beside them.
The Forest Adventure Plaza on the 1st floor is built around a big white hill: shoes off, a three-year-old climbs it and slides down, over and over. There is also the Chacha wooden toy room, the Book & Art area and the Science and Creation Plaza, with Space Athletics in the basement. Children below school age enter free, and as it is all indoors and all-weather, they play whatever the sky is doing.On weekends, on public holidays and on weekdays during the long school breaks, a visit is one 120-minute session (9:30-11:30, 12:30-14:30 or 15:00-17:00), and arriving late does not push back the end time. If you want them to play without watching the clock, choose one of the other weekdays, which are not run in sessions. Advance booking for weekends and holidays opens one month before the date, first come first served, and closes once a session is full. Let them know in advance if the number of children changes. One adult aged 18 or over may bring up to three children (elementary school age or younger). No meals are sold inside, so bring food and eat it in the rest space or another designated place, and take your rubbish home.
