Osaka's first Western-style restaurant opened here in Namba in 1910, and the curry it is known for was born in this kitchen. Skilled cooks still make it here, and it goes out to the other shops every day. Fire in the war destroyed the place; the second-generation owner rebuilt it and the family has kept the recipe since. Rice omelets, chicken rice and hayashi rice are on the menu too, and packs of the curry are sold to take home.
