Inside the children's hands-on building, Aquamarine Egg, there is a room for small children called Gorogoro Hiroba, where they watch a tank, play with stuffed animals and look at books — and that room has its own baby care room with a nursing booth, a diaper-changing table and a handwashing sink. The aquarium is step-free throughout and an elevator links floors 1 to 4, so the nine exhibition zones can be done without taking the baby out of the stroller.There are three baby care rooms. The one in the first-floor entrance hall has two private nursing booths, two diaper-changing tables and a handwashing sink; the one at the outdoor Aquamarine Egg has a nursing booth and a sink; the one inside Gorogoro Hiroba has a nursing booth, a changing table and a sink. Hot water for formula comes from the first-floor entrance if you ask a staff member, and microwaves for warming baby food are at Aquamarine Egg on the first floor and at the fishing area kitchen. Disposable diapers are sold at the shop inside. Strollers are lent free at the main gate by the ticket windows — no reservations, and lending can stop when the aquarium is very crowded; they are the lightweight folding type, usable from around two months. Parking lot PW1 keeps five spaces for families with young children.
Even a child still in diapers can get into the baby pool Tenshi no Mizuba, in the Wai Wai Ohana children's pool zone, by wearing swim diapers. It is 10 cm deep at 31-36C, and the whole building is held at summer warmth all year, swimsuit weather indoors. The naked hot-spring baths carry no diaper restriction at all.A child who wears diapers day to day may not use the pools or the swimsuit hot springs other than Tenshi no Mizuba - walking the poolside and dipping feet in the shallows is fine. The nursing room and the diaper-changing space are both in Wai Wai Ohana. Strollers are checked free at the Water Park front desk, and you may drive to the entrance, unload, then park. If you stay over, ask when booking for the bed guard, formula-water pot, bed-wetting pad or child toilet seat (limited numbers), and the hotel front desk will wash and sterilize bottles.
In May koinobori carp streamers go up along the street, right overhead for a baby in your arms. Up at the overlook stands a Koyasu Kannon, the deity people pray to for conceiving a child, for a safe birth, and for children growing up healthy.Parking is 500 yen for a car, cash on the day only — no cards, no e-money. The lots do fill: the foundation posted at 11 a.m. on 14 August 2026 that every lot was full, so arriving in the morning is the safe call. The village has no fixed opening time; most shops are open roughly 9:00 to 16:00. The thatched houses are shops and lived-in homes at once, so walk quietly and don't look in through the doorways.
Just inside the entrance stands the fossil of Futabasaurus suzukii, a long-necked marine reptile, there to look up at from your arms. Preschool children get in free. You can re-enter the same day, so stepping out for a break and coming back costs nothing.There is no nursing room; tell a staff member when you need to feed. Diaper changes are done on the changing sheet in the multipurpose restroom. The building is barrier-free and wheelchairs can be borrowed. There is no restaurant inside, so bring what you want to eat and use the community space behind the museum shop, which is free to enter and open to you without an admission ticket.
