Tochigi has grown more strawberries than any other prefecture for 57 straight years. From winter to spring even small children can pick and eat them by hand, and the road to Nikko runs along a 37-kilometer cedar avenue — the longest tree-lined road in the world. It suits fruit-loving kids and families heading for the cool highlands in summer.

Kingdom Town has an all-weather corridor, so you can go around with the stroller without getting wet even in the rain. The park's own notice says this year Nasu Animal Kingdom is five degrees cooler than the town below, so a baby can spend a summer day in outside air.There are three nursing rooms: the Mommy Room beside the entrance gate, one next to Mee-Mee Kitchen in the Farm area, and one by Alpaca Hill. A stroller rents for 500 yen a day and is meant for babies 7 to 24 months and up to 12 kg; there is no reservation and the number is limited. Baby food can be warmed at the restaurants that heat retort pouches or use a microwave — tell the staff when you arrive — and there is a microwave for guests at Yamaneko Terrace. The park follows the natural terrain, so there are ups and downs.
The Kids Zone has a Baby Area for the youngest children, sitting alongside the Play Area with a workshop space in between, on the second floor and the mezzanine of the exhibition hall. You can go around inside with the stroller, and the elevators are in the first-floor main hall and the middle of the second floor.Two baby care rooms are marked on the map, one near the first-floor entrance and one beside the planetarium on the mezzanine, and the nursing room is in the middle of the second-floor exhibition hall, near the stairs up to the mezzanine; it is a private booth. The outdoor map carries no nursing or diaper symbols on the grounds side, so take care of that indoors before you head out. Inside the exhibition hall nothing may be eaten or drunk except water, so give milk or baby food in the rest room, which sits outside the ticketed area, allows food and connects to the playground. Children 3 and under enter free.
The stroller you can rent is an A-type with a reclining back, so a baby can lie back while you go around the Edo townscape. The paved paths and detour routes take you through the whole village, and somewhere along the way you meet Nyanmage, who wanders the town as the mood takes him.The nursing station is in the middle of the village; check its spot on the village map (men cannot enter the nursing room). There is a diaper changing table, and some restrooms also have a baby bed for changing. If you have run out of diapers, Echigoya stocks them. Strollers rent at Honmaru in front of the entrance checkpoint, beside the office and ticket window, for 200 yen a day per stroller, for children up to age 4 (48 months) and 18 kg. Preschool children enter free.
