One thing the park does answer, and it is the thing you want to know: the language inside the attractions is Japanese. Its FAQ says attractions basically use Japanese; where a theater show uses English there are Japanese subtitles; and emergency announcements inside attractions are given in four languages - Japanese, English, Chinese and Korean. Whether you drive: there are about 2,800 spaces and the price changes with the date, on its own calendar; a vehicle over 2.3 m tall must be declared at the Toll Plaza; showing a disability certificate there gets you a space that is easier to lift a wheelchair in and out of, and the Toll Plaza has a wheelchair-accessible restroom. Next to it, also on the left of the entrance, Guest Services handles everything from attraction information to passing on a message. Lost property is a separate desk, outside the entrance on the left. Two more places to know before you split up: First Aid, at two points in the park, in Hollywood on your right as you come in and in San Francisco just over the bridge from the Flying Dinosaur side. How you get there: JR Yumesaki Line to Universal City station, which the park puts at about 5 minutes from Nishikujo, 11 from Osaka, 13 from Osaka-Namba and Tennoji, 15 from JR Namba, 16 from Shin-Osaka, 35 from Itami airport and 65 from Kansai airport. Whether you drive: there are about 2,800 spaces and the price changes with the date, on its own calendar; a vehicle over 2.3 m tall must be declared at the Toll Plaza; showing a disability certificate there gets you a space that is easier to lift a wheelchair in and out of, and the Toll Plaza has a wheelchair-accessible restroom. Parking and stopping on the roads around the park is not allowed. What you carry through the gate: everything in the stroller basket goes into a tray at the security check, water bottles and plastic bottles are carried by hand with the water bottle held above your head through the metal detector, and bottles, cans, lidded cups and carton drinks do not come in. And the one that changes the shape of the day: with anything other than an annual pass you cannot come back in once you leave, which matters most if the car is where the nap was going to happen.
