The play zone at DORAEMON WAKU WAKU SKY PARK carries the time until boarding. The domestic terminal's third floor also has a free aircraft museum, which kept the children absorbed on a family visit in 2026.On the day you fly, arrive 30 to 60 minutes earlier than you normally would and spend it on the play floor rather than at the gate. The loaner strollers are free but cannot go through the security check, so return yours before the checkpoint. The domestic and international terminals are joined on the third floor by a walkway nicknamed Smile Road, and there is no shuttle bus.
Shiroi Koibito Big Box is a room built to feel like the inside of the cookie tin, and a toddler can walk right in. In Gulliver Town Pokke, the shops and houses are built at their size, not yours.An adult has to go into Gulliver Town Pokke with them, so count on being in there too. Last entry to the paid area is 16:30, and the old water play area is gone for good.
The Children's Zoo holds the Squirrel Monkey Dome, the Dosanko Horse Forest, and the Beaver Forest. There is a playground called Maruppa, and a commemorative stamp at both the main gate and the west gate.The Maruppa playground closes for the winter. The rental strollers are for children 2 and under (250 yen each); the winter strollers, for ages 3 to preschool, are free at the main and west gates but there are only two per gate and they cannot be reserved. The zoo's restroom facility list includes rows for a children's urinal, a baby chair, and a multipurpose sheet. In summer 11 buildings are designated cooling spots, but they are not strongly air-conditioned; they are places to escape dangerous heat, and depending on the outside temperature the cooling may not be running.
There are the Children's Farm and the Second Children's Farm, where livestock and pet species can be seen up close. There are also Minna-no-hiroba, Wakuwaku-hiroba, and the Asahiyama Zoo Train Plaza.Touching the animals and feeding them is not allowed. Kick scooters, sleds, balloons, tricycles, balls and other play equipment, and roller shoes may not be brought in. The zoo stands on a hillside and takes about three hours to go around. A free shuttle bus runs year-round between the east gate and the Spider Monkey and Capybara House about every 10 minutes, which saves one stretch of the slope. Food you bring in can be eaten in the rest areas and outdoors, and there are seven indoor rest areas.
Food can be served cut up small, and scissors are lent out. Children's tableware and high chairs are stocked, so a child eats the Genghis Khan lamb at the same table as the adults. Lilac is the hall families favour, with an all-you-can-eat course that includes over 30 a la carte dishes, so there is more than meat to choose from. At Poplar Kan every menu comes with a soft drink bar.On the all-you-can-eat-and-drink plans, preschool children are free. Kaitakushikan and the Garden Grill have a Kids Plate. The high chairs have no belt, so they suit a child who can already sit unaided. Opening hours differ from restaurant to restaurant, so check the page of the one you are heading for. Same-day reservations are taken only when seats are free, and there is no waiting list. The beef fat used for grilling can be swapped for vegetable oil, and a separate grill can be set up, if you say so when booking.
The JR Tower Stellar Place branch has two kinds of children's chair, one that clamps onto the table and one that stands on the seat, so you can ask for whichever fits. Children's tableware is stocked there too. The fish comes from the sea off Nemuro, and being a conveyor-belt shop, a child picks from the plates going past.When the queue is long the shop can stop taking tickets before closing time, so take yours early. Only four branches accept reservations - Shiki Hanamaru Tokeidai, Susukino and Kitaguchi, and Dekitateya Tokeidai - and the conveyor-belt branches do not. Baby food may be brought in. Private rooms exist only at Shiki Hanamaru Susukino and Kitaguchi. A suitcase can come inside, though it may be put somewhere else depending on the seat.
The children's kaiseki Pirika, for elementary-school age and under, is five courses at 1,950 yen including tax - a smaller order to match a smaller appetite. Most rooms have sunken kotatsu seating, so legs hang down into the well instead of folding under, and each room has a door and walls.Footwear is sometimes taken in at the door; you hand the numbered tag back to the shoe desk on the way out. Requests for table or chair seating are taken when you book. You pay after the meal at the accounts desk by the entrance. Food allergies and vegetarian requirements can be discussed with the restaurant or through the English online support desk. There is no car park - you use the paid ones nearby, and the restaurant covers up to two hours of parking during the meal according to what you spend (bring the ticket).
At age 2 the Fuwafuwa area at Pure, the summer nature ground, opens up: a bouncy adventure zone with slides and a maze, two hours per session. Net Tree Trekking is reserved for children 110 cm and under, who cross rope bridges inside a net. In winter this age joins the outdoor snow play at the Kids Club, which takes children from 18 months to 9 years.The Fuwafuwa area is for children aged 2 and over who are 90 cm or taller, with an adult present; two hours costs 2,500 yen for an adult and 2,000 for a child. Net Tree Trekking cannot be used by small children on their own, so an adult goes in too - the accompanying adult is free and the child is 1,500 yen. The Rail Slider and Quick Jump start at 110 cm, so 90 cm and 110 cm are the two marks to know. Every Pure attraction is covered by the Pure Super Passport.
The play equipment in Sakura no Mori is there for them. For getting around, 20 rental bicycles have a child seat (150 yen an hour); a child can ride in one once they can hold the handle and weigh under 20 kg, roughly from age 2. Moere Beach is 45 cm at its deepest, so a child who can stand walks into the water on their own.From the Moerenuma Koen Higashiguchi bus stop it is a 23-minute walk to the Sakura no Mori play equipment and 24 minutes to Moere Beach, so borrow a free stroller or a bicycle if that is too far. Wash your shoes at the washing area before entering Moere Beach. Foxes live in the park, so do not feed them, call them over, or touch them.
